Kirkcaldy's rather odd looking townhouse building in the centre of town.
A truly great Kirkcaldy Pub, and the only one (as far as I know) not to have changed at all inside since the 1980's. Going in here was like entering a time warp. This pub was famous when I was at school for serving under ages, and (right enough) this was the first pub I was in on my own in 1983 when I was 16. i don't think I was brave enough to order any drinks though. The Surgical Wars interview that is reproduced on the bottom of their page on this website was done here over a few beers in the spring of 1986.
First time I'd noticed this was the other day. This bar must have been the Wheatsheaf for even longer than I thought. See the name stenciled to the chimney stack.
