A rather bleak looking shot of the flats on the Esplanade. When I was very young, I fancied living here, I don't know why now, I think I must have seduced by the vision of high rise flat living in Mary Mungo and Midge. I love this picture though, it looks like it should be the cover of a late 1970's alternative rock album.
I used to love the say the waves would break over the walls of the Esplanade. The bus station used to be on the esplanade until the early '80s, the buses used to get soaked and it was always freezing.

Another photo taken by Davie. I think this is near where he used to live. I remember because, on the day of the 1986 Charities Gig at the WYCA, the backline didn't turn up as promised. In true Kirkcaldy bands fashion, various band members (organised by Johnny Venters as I remember) got together and scraped together a backline. I went off with Davie to his house to get an amp. You can hear how good this improvised backline sounded from the MP3's of that gig on the Surgical Wars page.
